Better than Roasted beef

Beef probably is more popular than any other meat here I suppose.
A Italian guy called Marco polo came to china hundreds year ago, he learned a lot of nice cooking skill and many ingredients for cooking, he took all of them with him back to Italia, that is why you find Chinese food and Italian food sometimes have the similarity (pasta=chow main, risotto=fried rice…), I am entirely sure they are all original from china, I mean the fundamental recipe. We Chinese people like learning good things from western countries, that why you will find many dishes is similar to Italian’s.
Ketchup is very important to this dish, but ketchup sounds like a very British thing to me. Whatever you will like the flavour.
Slice all the tomatoes and beef, you can get all of them from supermarket, I buy the “beef for stew”, that is good for stir-fry and easy to cut; perhaps you know some others which is more tender.

Marinate the beef with some salt and corn flour for 5-10 minutes and stir-fry them in hot oil for 5 minutes, then get them out of wok, leave a little oil in the wok and put 3tbsp ketchup in(it depends how much beef you cooked, this is for 300g),stir it completely with the oil and then and some water, put the beef in again, keep stir-frying until the beef is well mixed with the ketchup, you can put sliced tomatoes in now (only one tomato),stir-fry for another two minutes, put the rest of the sliced tomatoes around the edge of the plate and the beef in the middle. That is it.
Have a look, how nice is it.
